okay, so women say they want a good man but don't know how to act once they find one? Well what about men. They say all sorts of shit about how much of a good man they are and then don't follow through on being a "good man" so how are we supposed to act then?
Some girls have just been burned too many times before. Not that that makes it ok for them to project that on a "good one" but still... girls have to protect themselves from being hurt.
The reason women go around in circles and don't know how to act, is because it seems to good to be true. Some have just been hurt too many times and are cautious around a guy who is nice and too good to be true.
Maybe the chick just didn't like the guy. Or maybe she was just using him to make another guy jealous. If someone wants to be someone they usually will find a way, whether they have been hurt in the past before or not.
I think girls sometimes change themselves to make the guy like them better. That just sucks because later in the relationship the real side of him/her comes out and then you're like, wow, you changed, but really, all the while, that person is just being themself. I think there is too much pressure on relationships to magically work out once you think you've found someone that less time is spent actually enjoying the relationship.
I agree! I'm a girl and I can't deny they sometimes I act different in front of guys, but at the same time I feel that guys are different towards girls too. So how do we really konw what it's genuine?
I definitely agree with stillsearching. But I do think that eventually, once you get to know the guy better, the awkwardness goes away and you're able to open up more. Although this can take a long time because like meggymoo23 said, "..girls have to protect themselves from being hurt."
you know, i'm a girl, and even i don't understand them.
exhibit a: one of my roomies is one of my best friends, however, she has gone extremely fake lately! and making up stuff. she just turned 21 and she drinks excessively now..
it's to the point that even her best friend from back home (my other roomie) can't stand her either. people change, sometimes not for the better :(
I think some girls have been hurt by so many other guys that they have a hard time trusting guys now and they are scared to get close again. I personally think girls can be attracted to assholes more than the nice guys.

I think that girls don't know how to act when they are around a good man because they don't want to mess it up and lose them.
